Series Preview: Mets at Dodgers

After avoiding the sweep in Chicago the Mets travel West to play the Los Angeles Dodgers for 4 games. Lets break it down

1. Beat Up the Struggling Team

The Dodgers are coming off a terrible 3 game series vs the Giants in which they did not score a run. On top of that their two best hitters, Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp,  are out. It’s time to beat down on the poor child. I want to see the Mets route the Dodgers like the Giants did this week.

2. Murphy and Ike Need To Keep It Going

Yesterday was a breakout party for the underachievers so far this year, Ike Davis and Daniel Murphy. Between the two of them they had 3 homers and helped the Mets to a 16 run victory. In order for the Mets offense to keep dominating the way they did yesterday, they will need Daniel Murphy and Ike Davis to continue their success from yesterday

3. Bobby Parnell

Frank Francisco is out until at least the All Star break, leaving the closer’s job to Bobby Parnell. He needs to close out those tight games because of the rest of the bullpen is skeptical at best. He cannot let leads get away when he gets the ball to close out in the 9th
