Why Tebow Will Revolutionize The NFL

All you Jets fans need to take a deeper look into what Tim Tebow brings to the franchise.  Forget all the media attention and how he is portrayed in the eyes of the world.  How else do you think this immensely polarizing figure should act while everyone watches him? He has seven different sentences in his repertoire that keep him from saying anything negative and he is a good Christen man.  That’s pretty much all we know about Tim Tebow.  But as I said before, forget about who he is off the field.  Tim Tebow, at the end of the day, is an elite football player and this is what he brings to the New York Jets.

Tim Tebow can potentially revolutionize the NFL.  You heard it first at NewYorkSportsWall.com from Cyrus Solomon.  Tim Tebow is a once in a lifetime generation player.  He has a nag for winning albeit in an ugly way, he is a great teammate, an inherent leader, a fantastic athlete, and a great football player.  Notice how I say football player and not Quarterback.  Tim, I understand you have been wanting to play Quarterback your whole life, and guess what you made it, but that is not how the Jets will utilize your skill.  All this hoopla that Tim will take Sanchez’s spot by the middle of the year is non-sense.  Tebow was brought in to light a fire under Mark’s ass first and foremost because frankly, the Jets believe in Mark.  He was a strong counterpart to their back-to-back AFC Championship appearances and will be the starting QB for this upcoming season.  They want Mark to succeed and it is evident with the contract extension he received after this past season.  Where Tebow comes in is a different story.

When Mark was successful the Jets led the league in rush attempts and rush yards.  They were a fantastic ground and pound team and played a strong defense.  Know where I am going yet? Tim Tebow led the Broncos to the most successful rushing attack last year predominantly with a Spread Option/Wildcat Offense.  He was brought to New York to bring that back, but not just in an every once in a while way like Brad Smith was.  I want you to understand Mark and Tim will be successful together. Many times Mark and Tim will be on the field at the same time.  Many times Mark will be out of the game and Tim will be running the Wildcat or Spread Option Offense.  Many times Mark will be in the game and Tim won’t even see the field.  Tebow can play any offensively productive position on the field, as he is a great football player.  The Jets under Tony Sparano, and G.d Bless his creative mind, will have Tebow split out at wide receiver, have Tebow receiving handoffs from Mark, have Tebow blocking for punts (where he is always a danger to fake) and will be scene under center in the spread formation.  These ideas will have all NFL teams on their heels, as they wont know what is coming next.  For all we know, Tebow could fake that option and bomb it because we all know he is capable of those long balls.  Tebow is the one Quarterback who has successfully brought the way college football is played under center to the NFL and the Jets will take advantage of that because Tim is a great football player (not QB).

At the end of the day, some games could see a 75-25 split in favor of Mark under center and other days could even see the split creep toward 50-50.  But Mark Sanchez is this ball clubs starting Quarterback and that will not change no matter how well Tim is doing or how poor Mark is doing.  Tebow could be brought in enough times where there can be a discrepancy between which the starting Quarterback is.  But the overall point I am trying to make here is that Tim and Mark can and will be successful together while working off each other.  Look at it this way, who do you think will come in on third and long to convert that twenty-yard pass in the final two minutes.  Tebow won’t be, but the opposite is possible as well because if the Jets are grounding and pounding a team, gashing them for 5-8 yards an attempt, with Tim under center, you seriously think Mark’s coming back in the game?  Forget about imagining what it will be like for defenses when both of them are in the same backfield, a potential nightmare.

Although Mark has had his fair share of struggles, there is no denying he has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL.  Tebow will only help him as Mark thrives under pressure, and guess what, Tebow has brought that to the New York Jets franchise.  Tim and Mark have the potential to be able to work off each other and be successful like no other tandem in NFL history.

In these ways Tim’ s abilities could potentially revolutionize the NFL in no way any other team has.  They have the right formula to create a winning attitude under a two-quarterback system, never even imagined before.   As long as Mark can keep a level head and compete at the highest level, talks of Tebow starting the game under center will not happen.  Tebow may be the reason the Jets win a championship but he will not be the full-fledged starting Quarterback of this ball club.  All in all, Shonn Greene wont lead the Jets to a great rushing attack and put them one win away from the Super Bowl.  Tebow will be the reason the Jets have a  Top5 rush attack and Mark will be there to finish teams off with that deadly play-action pass for that accurate long bomb we saw back in 09 and 10.
